​ My artwork centres around flora and the environment, with bold colours and dark outlines influences largely by textile patterns and wallpaper designs. while intertwining how the over use and consumption of plastic has and is greatly impacting the world we live in, helping to increase global warming and destroying our planet. My work has evolved into blending the ready-made with traditional flower painting by physically sticking plastic objects to a canvas as well as painting the plastic itself. l Also take numerous photos of dumped objects I find on the walks around my local area and take inspiration from these images. Over the lockdown period as we all had to stay inside like many of us l gradually felt further disconnected from the outside world. My view is that most modern people don't appreciate it at all, take it for granted and don't want to conserve what we have left, and just help hasten its destruction. My main focus is environmental art concentrating on the flora of the world and along with it the consequences of human interference.
